Veeam 9.5 Update 4 enables you to add Object Storage Repositories to your backup infrastructure. While this repository can’t be used as a target for a typical backup or backup copy job, it does allow you to extend the capacity of a Scale-Out Backup Repository. iland Secure Cloud Object storage performs best with larger object chunks and fewer write operations. In order to be sure you have the best experience with offloading Veeam backups to iland Object Storage, be sure to make the following two changes:
1. Edit the below regkey on your Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\S3ConcurrentTaskLimit
and set it to the value "4". Then be sure to restart your VBR server.
2. Configure the "Advanced Settings" of your backup job to make "Storage optimization: Local target (16TB+ backup files)"
